Frank Phillips Home
This 26-room Greek revival mansion was completed in 1909 for the co-founder of Phillips Petroleum Co. The mansion features the original furnishings and art of Frank and Jane Phillips. The brick six-bay garage at the rear of the home contains an award-winning interpretive exhibit and a Museum Shop. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. George Miksch Sutton Avian Research Center
The Sutton Avian Research Center promotes conservation, education, and research on endangered or threatened species of birds. Established in 1983 and named after a prominent ornithologist, author, artist and professor emeritus at the University of Oklahoma, the non-profit organization is affiliated with the Oklahoma Biological Survey at OU. Hulah Lake
Visitors may enjoy buffalo, deer and other wildlife on the 4,000-acre ranch surrounding the museum. Hulah Lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing and hunting. Hulah Public Hunting Area covers 14,112 acres of land managed primarily for waterfowl. The area also provides good hunting for quail, rabbit, dove, deer and squirrel. A migratory bird refuge area of approximately 1,800 acres has also been developed. Johnstone Park
Visitors to historic Johnstone Park can enjoy viewing a replica of the Nellie Johnstone #1, the first commercial oil well drilled in what is now the state of Oklahoma on April 15, 1897. The Foster Mansion was designed in 1930 by noted Kansas City architect Edward Buehler Delk. The 32-room, Spanish style mansion has 14 bathrooms and 7 fireplaces. Construction was completed in 1932 and it served as the family home until 1939. La Quinta is the focal point of the campus of Bartlesville Wesleyan College and serves as the library and administration facilities for the school. Osage Hills State Park
The Park offers 1,100 acres with picnic tables and shelters, swimming pool, hiking trails, ball field and tennis court. Abundant fishing for bass, crappie, catfish and perch can be found in Lookout Lake, or in Sand Creek at the south end of the park. Area has good opportunities for fall foliage viewing. Established in 1925 as the country home of oilman Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum Co. Woolaroc is a 3,600-acre ranch and preserve now serving as an educational and historical attraction. The museum houses a world-class collection of western art, artifacts and special exhibits. The Lodge ranch house was the country home of Frank and Jane Phillips. The Native American Heritage Center features the Arrows Skyward audio-visual show.
