Fort Washita Historic Site & Museum
The original and reconstructed historic structures of this frontier fort were operated during mid 1800's by the U.S. Army and during Civil War by Confederates, such as Capt. Robert E. Lee, Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, who stopped there en route to the Alamo. Enjoy touring the reconstructed 1849 barracks to learn how the soldiers spent their days. A museum and preserved remains of several pre-Civil War military buildings presents a unique picture of military life in the West. Lake Durant
This beautiful 315-acre municipal lake is surrounded by 500 acres of eye-catching properties. Many activities are offered here such as prime fishing lake, walking trails, restroom/picnic facilities, boat ramp, and concession. Lake Durant is a prime fishing lake for serious fishermen, however, fishing is by rod and reel or bow and arrow only--no trot lines, etc. Permits are required and fishermen must sign in and out and fish must be shown to the Lake Ranger upon request. Lake Texoma
Lake Texoma provides some of the best fishing in the nation. The most common species include crappie, white bass, black bass, various catfish, sunfish, striped bass, walleye and Florida bass. Two wildlife refuges are situated on opposite ends of the lake and provide feeding and resting areas for ducks and geese using the Continental Central Flyway. Facilities include marinas, riding stables, restrooms and showers, group shelters, picnic areas, playgrounds, and drinking water.

Newberry Creek Marina

Texoma Belle Riverboat
Located at Catfish Bay Marina in Texoma State Park, visitors can enjoy a 1.5 hour sightseeing cruise aboard a 137 passenger paddlewheel riverboat on Lake Texoma. Public cruises are held on Saturdays at 11am and 1pm; all other cruises are by reservation. Snacks and beverages are available onboard. Three Valley Museum
This living history museum features displays of artifacts of early statehood. The rich heritage of the Choctaw Nation, and Durant and Bryan County can be learned here.
