The Enid Symphony Orchestra, is a semi-professional orchestra comprised of musicians from within a 120-mile radius. Great Salt Plains Lake
This lake is located on the Salt Fork of the Arkansas River and is well known as a premier lake in northwest Oklahoma for excellent channel cat fishing. The lake consists of 8,700 surface acres. Humphry Heritage Village / The Museum of the Cherokee Strip
The Museum of the Cherokee Strip and the Humphrey Heritage Village stand side by side on the west side of Enid's historic Government Springs Park. Artifacts cover the history of the Cherokee Strip Land Run and Oklahoma events from 1540 to present. Admission is free.The Humphrey Heritage Village includes the "Glidewell Home," an elaborate Victorian style home. The original land office where pioneers lined up to file their claims after the great land run of 1893 are on the premises as well as Enid's oldest church and an original one-room schoolhouse. This hands-on museum offers experiences for kids in the areas of arts and science. Touch a real dinosaur egg, slide down a 3 story slide, build your own castle in the carpentry shop, get lost in a variety of bridges, tunnels and mazes, experiment with different scientific principles, tell time on a sundial, travel to the moon in a simulated space shuttle, and lots more. Robert Bartunek Winery
Over two acres of vineyard will greet you as you turn into the parking area. Make sure you notice the Witness Tree to the north as you walk toward the winery. This tree was one of the few on the prairie during the land run of 1893. The wines available are all made from grapes grown in Oklahoma.
